MLBB x Guyngid

From Unreal Environments to the Camera

End-to-end virtual production for MLBB x Guyngid, connecting Unreal environments, LED playback and tracked-camera operation. Cinematography by Yellow Dog.

A dark stage opens into a neon city, then a game landscape. In the MLBB x Guyngid film, the cast travels through three worlds built for the camera.

KAMELION handled the virtual production pipeline—from Unreal environments and art direction to LED playback, camera tracking and technical operations on set. Yellow Dog handled cinematography.

The finished film

Building a city for the camera

The neon city began as an Unreal environment: layered buildings, luminous signs and giant MLBB screens. In the production images, the same architecture appears at the workstation, on the LED wall and inside the camera monitor.

These two views follow that journey—from the environment itself to the shooting setup around it.

Three worlds, one production

The environments move between distinct scales: a dark MLBB-branded stage, a dense neon city and an open game landscape. Each creates a different space around the performers while keeping the game at the centre of the film.

The Unreal views below show the stage and map before they become a photographed background.

Inside the LED volume

On set, the environment became part of the space around the cast. The lighting photograph shows the city on the LED wall, with camera, crew and practical lighting arranged in front of it.

The setup used Unreal Engine 5.6, two NVIDIA A6000 nDisplay nodes and FreeD camera tracking across an 18-metre LED volume with Brompton processing. KAMELION managed the environments, playback and tracking; Yellow Dog handled cinematography with the ARRI Alexa 35.

These elements connected the scene built in Unreal to the frame being composed on set.

The team behind the frame

The production photograph brings the people and the virtual landscape into the same view. KAMELION’s contribution covered virtual production, environments and on-set technical operations, working alongside Yellow Dog’s cinematography team.
